We're a small, fast-moving team rebuilding a well-known brand for the American market, and we're hiring people who want to do meaningful work without any red tape.
We are a fully remote team and are async-friendly. You shall work with a lean team, where your decisions actually go through and matter. We invest in professional development, keep meetings to a minimum, and care more about output than hours logged. There are no artificial hierarchies – our engineers talk to designers, product managers talk to data analysts, and everyone has full context on the business.
You will own critical pieces of our search and data pipeline, such as the backend systems that query hundreds of public record sources, match and deduplicate records, and serve results to millions of users. This is not generic CRUD work, as you will be solving real problems around data accuracy, speed at scale, and third-party integrations with government databases and public directories.
Our users are searching for people, sometimes to reconnect with a lost relative, sometimes to check out a new neighbor, and sometimes to run a background check on a date. The stakes feel personal, and the experience needs to be clear, trustworthy, and fast. You will own the end-to-end design of our search flows, results pages, and background report layouts across web and mobile.
We process millions of searches and our conversion funnel has a lot of moving parts, like free search, results preview, subscription signup, full report delivery, and others. We need someone who can map out the entire journey, identify where users drop off, and run experiments that move the numbers up. You will be working closely with the marketing, product, and engineering departments.
